Tremendous Trees at Arnside Knott

Duration:Half Day
Activity:For kids - things to do before you're 11¾

Thinking Back to my childhood, one of my favourite activities was tree climbing. There are so many wonderful things about scaling the heights of a tree that make it so worthwhile, like the feeling of accomplishment as you reach the top, the fantastic views you get or even the feeling that it's your own secret world where you can just sit. Arnisde Knott is a fantastic place to go tree climbing and there is something for everyone from toddlers just starting out to those well practiced ones who want a bit of a challenge. There are so many fantastic trees to climb that it's hard to tell you where to go first, but part of the fun is exploring and finding out for yourself.

When attempting to climb a tree make sure you have a friend with you. Always make sure you have a good grip of the branch and ensure it is stable before you put your weight on it. Above all, have fun.

I consider myslef to be quite lucky as I have the priviledge of working accross a vast property that includes SSSI Sand Dunes, vast limestone pavements and magical woodlands. When I am not at work my priority is family and there is nothing more fun then getting outdoors with the kids and the pooch and getting back to nature. Most of my experiences focus on how to make the most of the lakes with your family and I hope you find them useful
