Eat blackberries growing in the wild
There are fab crops of blackberries (or bramble berries as they are sometimes called) along the walk from Grasmere to Rydal Water - just don’t tell everyone! Take a bag with you to collect the berries and you could try baking a blackberry crumble or making blackberry jam.
You can find bramble bushes in lots of places, but they are sometimes easier to find in and around villages and towns as well as low woodland. Just keep an eye out when on a stroll and you may spot them, in the Autumn time of course!
