Having travelled the world I am yet to find anywhere that holds my attention like the Lake District. Such a beautiful, interesting and diverse landscape I consider myself very fortunate to be a part of a team that works in this special upland area.
The National Trust is Europe's largest conservation charity. In the Lake District, we look after a
quarter of the National Park, 125 mountains, 24 lakes, 59 listed buildings, 14 holiday cottages, 3
campsites and 90 tenanted farms. We welcome 19 million visitors throughout the year, opening the
Lakes up for ever, for everyone - Four seasons, One Lake District.
