I am Lead Ranger working in the West Lakes. The lakes is an area in which I grew up on a hill farm and have strong connections to. After living away for a few years, I was drawn back to working in the lakes by my passion for the outdoors and the great connection which I feel to it.
The National Trust is Europe's largest conservation charity. In the Lake District, we look after a
quarter of the National Park, 125 mountains, 24 lakes, 59 listed buildings, 14 holiday cottages, 3
campsites and 90 tenanted farms. We welcome 19 million visitors throughout the year, opening the
