Upland Footpath Ranger. A passion for the countryside and a love of the Lake District led me to switch careers. After an initial period of volunteering to gain experience I started working for the National Trust in 2007 and thoroughly enjoy it!
The National Trust is Europe's largest conservation charity. In the Lake District, we look after a
quarter of the National Park, 125 mountains, 24 lakes, 59 listed buildings, 14 holiday cottages, 3
campsites and 90 tenanted farms. We welcome 19 million visitors throughout the year, opening the
Lakes up for ever, for everyone - Four seasons, One Lake District.
