The Lake Distrct has always been a part of my life and to now be part of a team that looks after the conservation of this special place is a dream job. One of the most important aspects of my work is to carry on the traditional skills that have been used for generations to look after this unique landscape.
The National Trust is Europe's largest conservation charity. In the Lake District, we look after a
quarter of the National Park, 125 mountains, 24 lakes, 59 listed buildings, 14 holiday cottages, 3
campsites and 90 tenanted farms. We welcome 19 million visitors throughout the year, opening the
Lakes up for ever, for everyone - Four seasons, One Lake District.
